Kadur: The youth should come forward to save historical temples, said Madhu Pandita Das, President of Bangalore International Krishna Consciousness Society (ISKCON).
He spoke after visiting the historical Ballakki Narasimha Temple in Pattangere, Taluk on Thursday.
There are special historical temples all over the state. These are symbols of our eternal culture. Many temples have fallen into disrepair. If they are saved, our religious heritage will be preserved for the next generation. In this regard, it is commendable that many people are showing interest in saving such temples in many places. In this regard, the religious interest of the youth of this village is exemplary. He said that this wonderful temple was visited due to the interest of Narasimha devotee Gorik Dhruva.
Village leader Karugal Hatti Kumaraswamy said that some government buildings have been built on the site of the village Narasimha temple, and now the villagers are trying to save the remaining temple site. With the cooperation of Jiganehalli Neelakanthappa, the construction of the temple compound has been completed to some extent, but it is incomplete. If this is completed, the temple site will remain. Along with this, systematic worship services need to be held. For this, the cooperation of the public is very necessary, he said.
Office bearers of the Narasimha Swamy Yuvaka Sangha, American saint Gorik Dhruva, Pranavayu, and Pawan Kumar were present.
